Mental Breakdown

Well, I had/am having a complete breakdown tonight. My baby, who is 4 months old today, has done nothing but cry, eat, and spit up for the last 3 days and nights. I'm running on no sleep and I just can't handle any more crying. I need a break. My husband worked from 7a-8:30p yesterday, today from 7a-4p but then left at 6 to play poker so I've had no help from him. It's just exhausting and Mommy wants a time out :'-(

Easter Eggs

My oldest, Aaden, is obsessed with Easter eggs. We dyed some eggs at my sister-in-laws house a couple weeks ago and he had so much fun that he hasn't stopped talking about it yet!
Last Sunday (palm Sunday) we celebrated Easter with my mom's side of the family (they are heading to Disney for the week and we are jealous). We had an Easter egg hunt and Aaden went nuts, especially once he discovered there were jelly beans inside! Too funny! I love how the simple things entertain kids :)

Starting a Routine

Aaden is on a wonderful routine. Honestly, since he was about 1 month old he has always fallen into the "perfect" routine (it was perfect for us). He took 3 naps a day, ate and played in between, as he has gotten older he is down to 1 nap (or quiet time as he is starting to outgrow the actual sleep part). He is very predictable.

Connor isnt as good at this, and maybe it's because life is so different with a toddler in the house. Connor cluster feeds throughout the morning and the night some days and some days he nurses as he should, plays for a short time, and takes his nap. I'm really trying to get him on a nice routine that will allow me some down time from both kids at the same time (HA I know, good luck). So this morning I woke him up at 8:00, nursed him, changed his diaper, he played (okay, playing at 3 months old is more like coo-ing and looking around) in his bouncy seat, at 9:30 he was getting sleepy so I put him in his swing and walked away, he cried for about 2 minutes and was out cold until about 11:30ish (even with his brother playing pirates beside him). I was able to get some laundry done, clip some coupons, and eat breakfast. He then ate, diaper change, played (this time he jumped in his jumper while watching Aaden play Transformers, we read a couple books *after Aaden laid down at 1*), at this point Connor needed another diaper change then he was getting sleepy so I laid him down in his crib. He only cried for less than 5 minutes and he is sleeping peacefully (this is the first time he is sleeping in his crib!!! YAY!!) I know, don't get my hopes up but I'm soo excited. Okay, time to take a shower before its time to get Aaden up.

Have a great day everyone!!

With Love,
Theresa

Introduction

First and foremost let me introduce myself. My name is Theresa and I live in Western New York. I grew up in Southern California and I would love to go back, but I'm a mom now and I can't imagine taking my kids away from our family (and my husband doesn't want to move to CA). My oldest son is currently 3, his name is Aaden and my baby boy is Connor, he's 3 months old and growing fast. My boys are my everything. I can't imagine life without them. Both boys were born via C-section which is a whole different story. My husband works around 60 hours a week which doesn't leave much time for family. I mostly take care of the house and the kids but I do work part time for now as well.

I plan on using this blog to talk about the funny things that occur in my home as well as normal family talk, recipes, crafts, etc. I hope everyone enjoys my family :)

With love,
